Illuminate Education MI Workshop: DnA Beginner- Assessment Creation (September 14, 2017)
Are you a new teacher in a school already using Illuminate DnA? Have you had training on Illuminate DnA, but a refresher would be helpful? Are you an Illuminate DnA user, but are curious about best practices and new features? Join us for an Assessment Creation Workshop. We will create manual/hybrid, "on-the-fly", and summary assessments! Learn how to administer via online testing or paper bubble scanning and best practices. Please bring your own assessments in pdf, word doc or ppt so you can “make and take” formative/summative assessments your class can take the next day. (We can provide a demo test if needed) Your students can view and take the assessment online. Grading is instant for the multiple choice and constructed responses are easily graded in the teacher account. On-the-fly assessments are the "hook" for teachers who want quick formative assessments for exit tickets and the like. You will have time to build your own assessments with facilitated support. You will also have the opportunity to explore the power of Illuminate's 23 prebuilt assessment reports that are available as soon as students have tested. The reports make it easy for teachers to determine where students are in their learning and next steps for instruction. This workshop will also showcase the latest release and updates to our system including our new scanning! Learn some of our latest tips and tricks. After the brief update be ready to build some assessments! This training will be repeated over multiple dates. Pick the date that best meets your needs. PREREQUISITE: Must have an Illuminate account and have logged in at least once before attending. (If you need an account, please contact your District's Illuminate System Admin to get one set up).
