More Info

Ford Field Detroit opened to the public in 2002. Originally intended to be an outdoor stadium, the venue ended up being constructed as an indoor facility instead. Today, Ford Field is best known as being home to the NFL's Detroit Lions.

It goes without saying that football is one of the highlights on the Ford Field schedule each year. However, the venue's impressive 65,000 capacity also makes it an ideal venue for large scale live entertainment events such as tradeshows, conventions and concerts. Indeed, some of the biggest names in music have played there: Madonna, Kid Rock, Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney are just a few of those featured on the Ford Field schedule in the past. The venue's adaptability is evident in its also having played host to WWE events, NCAA Ice Hockey and Basketball championship games.
