More Info

Comerica Park Detroit first opened its doors to the public in 2000. Located in the city’s downtown area, Comerica Park is perhaps most well known as the home of the MLB’s Detroit Tigers. Indeed, much of the design work for the $300 million construction project, was spearheaded by Tigers owner, Mike Ilitch.

Comerica Park stands out from other sports venues mainly thanks to a number of distinctive, key features which include a carousel, a ferris wheel, a giant fountain located behind center field and a 15 foot tiger statue at the entrance to the park.

Due to its ability to seat upwards of 40,000 people, the Detroit venue is also a popular venue for large scale entertainment events of a non-sporting variety. Eminem, The Rolling Stones, Jay-Z and Bruce Springsteen are just a few of the big names who have featured on the Comerica Park events schedule in the past.
