The DTE Energy Music Theatre is an outdoor amphitheater located in Clarkston, Michigan, in close proximity to the Pine Knob ski area and golf course. The venue originally opened as the Pine Knob Music Theatre in
June of 1972 with an inaugural “pre-opening” performance by David Cassidy. Today, the DTE Energy Music Theatre seats over 15,000 guests in both reserved and lawn seating, and stands as one of Michigan’s premiere venues for music concerts, family shows and special events.

Since the hotspot opened in the 1970s, the DTE Energy Music Theatre schedule has attracted fans of all ages. In addition to the regular set of events put on by large live entertainment venues, the DTE Energy Music Theatre has become a major stop-over for big touring summer acts such as Chicago and Aerosmith. The DTE schedule has also played host to nationally renowned music festivals like Crue Fest, Ozzfest and Lollapalooza.
