More Info

Friends, and fellow Ann Arbor photographers, Robert Beech and Thomas Nighswander have joined forces to create the current exhibit at the Argus Museum, Black and White – A Century of Change. A former Artist-in-Resident for the Gettysburg National Park, Beech’s work is influenced by his love for history and fascination of historical film technology and processes. Early in his life, Nighswander was also influenced by what-is-now vintage equipment – his first camera was an Argus C3. He shares his passion and knowledge of photography teaching National Photography Workshops.
The exhibit explores the development of photography processes and technologies from the collodion process, used in making glass negative, ambrotypes and tintypes, to the age of digital with exceptional imagery.
